- No. Numbing eye drops are used and the procedure itself takes about ten minutes per eye. Most patients feel mild dryness or grittiness for a day or two afterwards.
- Am I a candidate?
- Generally you should be 18+, have a stable prescription for at least a year, healthy corneas, and not be pregnant or nursing. A free consultation is the only way to know for sure.
- How long does the result last?
- The reshaping is permanent. Age-related changes like presbyopia (reading vision after ~40) and cataracts can still develop later, but the LASIK correction itself doesn't wear off.
